The two parts in this kit do different things. Worth knowing which is which before you order.

The billet intermediate flange is the repair. The factory piece is plastic, it sits in a hot spot, and it eventually weeps or cracks at the barb. This one is machined from billet aluminum and uses the OEM seal, so it bolts into the same place with no adapters.

The temperature sensor housing is not a repair. It does not fix a failure and there is nothing wrong with the part it stands in for. Its only job is to hold the factory coolant temp sensor once the EGR cooler is gone. The cooler carries that sensor from the factory, so pulling the cooler leaves you with nowhere to put it. This housing gives it a home and keeps the coolant circuit closed. If you are not removing the cooler, you do not need it.

Why partial: a lot of guys already have hoses, don't mind reusing their bypass valve and are down to fab up their own block-off plates No reason to pay for parts you will throw in a bin. If you want everything in one box, look at the Full Kit

Both pieces are anodized black. Mounting hardware and the flange seal are included.
