Description
Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche engineers did a lot of impressive things with the 3.0 TDI.
Then, for some reason, they decided an important cooling-system cover should be made out of plastic.
Heat it up. Cool it down. Pressurize it. Repeat that a few thousand times. Eventually the factory plastic gets brittle, cracks, warps, and starts leaking coolant exactly where you don't want it.
We fixed that problem the obvious way: we machined the entire thing from solid billet aluminum.
No molded plastic. No brittle housing. No plastic flange waiting to develop a hairline crack. Just a solid, precision-machined aluminum replacement designed to permanently eliminate one of the factory cooling system's most predictable failure points.
