Let’s call the factory flange what it is: a shitty plastic coolant part bolted to a hot diesel engine by someone who clearly trusted plastic more than they should have. It does its job for a while. Then the heat cycles get to it, the plastic hardens up, and eventually it cracks, warps, swells, or starts dumping coolant all over your engine bay like it had somewhere better to be.

This billet flange kills that problem at the source. Machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminum, it replaces the brittle factory plastic with something that actually belongs near heat. It keeps its shape, seals properly, and does not randomly give up after years of getting cooked. Every weak leak path in the original design is handled, and it drops right in as a required piece for your EGR delete setup.

Deleting the EGR means your engine stops feeding itself soot like it lost a bet. Less carbon buildup in the intake, less airflow restriction, and less of that slow, quiet power loss the factory system was happy to ignore.

The seals are genuine VW/Audi, not mystery rubber from the discount bin. Factory-spec sealing, billet aluminum strength, and a finish that looks a hell of a lot better than the swollen plastic lump it replaces.
